Jigjiga is launching a citywide greening campaign to plant trees and beautify our highways. We're inviting all residents and business owners to participate.

Residents and business owners along Jigjiga's highways are encouraged to plant one or more trees in front of their property.

The planted trees will be the responsibility of the property owner to ensure they are watered and maintained.

In addition to the highway planting, the city will distribute 5 free trees to each of Jigjiga's 1,000+ families.

The greening campaign will run for one month.

Furthermore, measures will be enforced in accordance with the law to address incidents involving animals on the highways. First-time offenders will face fines, while repeat offenses will result in the confiscation of the animal.

Together, we can make Jigjiga a greener and cleaner city.
